SINGAPORE - When it rains, it is poured. Or, in certain low areas of Singapore, it floods. Heavy rains in the country have caused flash floods in areas such as Thomson Superior, Paya Lebar and more recently Tanjong Pagar. Here is a look at five recent flood cases. 1. The depth of the flood was 300mm, and continued for 30m in the width of a lane, but the traffic was passable, PUB said. Photos and videos posted on social networks showed vehicles with up to half of their tires in the water, but some store employees at Thomson Plaza said it was not as bad as the Christmas Eve flood. 3. In Paya Lebar on December 24 last year, the water met at a depth of 350mm, with the flood of 500m, according to the PUB website.
